"EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH CANINE COMPANIONSHIP"

I suffered through so much with postpartum anxiety without knowing I had it. So did my husband and girls! Getting my dog Nela has helped so much and now I want to help other women find the same peace I have.

Getting Nela relieved so much of my anxiety at night while my husband would be gone, but I didn't realize how much courage, confidence and stability she would bring into other areas of my life. IE, if I have to make a late night trip to the grocery store, I don't have to go alone. She walks to my vehicle with me and is right there waiting for me when I come out. Another one is going outside with me when it's dark to take out the trash. These are all such SMALL things to other people, but to me they are big. These are the little things that make you a functional human being! Before her, I just wouldn't go to the store and we'd go another morning without milk and bread. Or, I'd willingly miss trash day! Ha! Like I said, these are just A COUPLE of the areas of my life that she has effected for the better. 

I feel that as a woman I know the little hardships we face daily, and that is excluding the extra hardships every person faces individually. I've seen how Nela filled areas of my life that another person couldn't have. And I KNOW the difference a dog can make in the life of a woman. THAT is why I want to bring that peace, the peace that only a dog can provide, to every woman who is seeking it.
