WHY IRISH GOLDENDOODLES?

Our girl Nela is an Irish Goldendoodle. This means that her mom was an Irish-Golden(50% Irish Setter and 50% Golden Retriever) and her dad was 100% Standard Poodle. I had the choice between a Goldendoodle and an Irish Goldendoodle and I went with the Irish Goldendoodle for many reasons. I think by the end of my explanation, you'll agree with my choice.
The Irish Setter is a beautiful gundog breed. They are known for being amazing family pets that want to be included in your life. The chance of cancer in Irish Setter lines is also lower than in that of Golden Retrievers, so by infusing some of the Setter blood into our lines we are hoping to reduce the risk of cancer in our puppies. We also LOVE the little bit of red that the Setter brings into our dogs' coats.
So, how much Setter will one of your future puppies, an F1-b, have in their blood? If genetics plays fair, your pup would be 12% Irish Setter.
We love Nela's temperament and feel we owe part of that to the Setter in her(along with the Retriever and Poodle), and we know you'll love it as well :)
